Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow "DOES NOT" require machine washing. It SHOULD NOT be machine washed OR submerged in water OR over saturated by water - EVER!

Your Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow has a "Permanent Sewn-on Inner Cover" that is Patent-Pending on our Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow. This "Permanent Sewn-On Inner Cover" protects the Inner Foam Layers from becoming soiled by baby's spit up, messy diapers, dirt, etc. The "Permanent Sewn-On Inner Cover" material has a built-in "anti-bacterial" property and is also water-resistant, mold-proof and mildew proof.

So, to clean the Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow

Simply use less than a 1/4 cup solution consisting of warm water and a "DROP of MILD Detergent" and mix. Next, use a "Soft, Non-Abrasive" cloth to wipe the cover with the "MILD Detergent" solution. DO NOT PULL, SCRUB or TUG on Inner Cover while cleaning. Then take a "Soft, Non-Abrasive" cloth dipped in warm water with excess water "RUNG OUT" of cloth and "Gently" wipe off the cleaning solution.  Let Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow AIR DRY" for approximately 5-10 minutes, or, when it is dry when you press down on Nursing Pillow Inserts "Permanent Sewn-On Cover" and feel NO moisture. Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow (COVER ONLY) Cuddoozle Covers are machine washable on gentle cycle only.

**Care should be exercised, however, so not to tear this cover. **DO NOT IMMERSE PILLOW INSERT IN WATER "EVER" & DO NOT SATURATE PILLOW WITH A LOT OF WATER!! A DAMP CLOTH IS ALL THAT IS NEEDED TO CLEAN THE PILLOW INSERTS "Permanent Sewn-On Inner Cover!"**

So, to clean the Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow (COVER ONLY):

Wash your Cuddoozle Cover in COLD WATER ONLY with a "MILD" clothing detergent on the "Delicate Cycle." ONLY wash your Cover with "LIKE" items to keep your Cuddoozle Cover looking its best! We "ONLY" recommend air-drying your Cuddoozle Cover so it will not shrink at all, or, change from its original shape so it will always fit your Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow. That's it!

When these "FEW and SIMPLE" Instructions are followed, it is EASY to care for your Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow and its Cover!

Use

·    Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow
Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow is easy to use and yet so versatile. When you slip Nursing Pillow around your waist, baby is supported at breast level, so you don’t need to lean forward, which can cause strain on your back and neck. You can use Nursing Pillow while sitting in your favorite rocker or on the sofa. Or bring Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow into your bed to use in the side-lying position.

·    Cradle Hold also known as the Madonna hold
This is the easiest and most common nursing position. Wrap your arms around baby and place the base of her head in the crook of your arms. Support her back with your forearm, and the buttocks or thighs with your hand. Your opposite hand can support the breast if needed. Baby is positioned on her side, supported in the comfy nest of Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow Moms arms can rest on Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow to relieve pressure and fatigue. It is very important to position the baby tummy to tummy so he is on his side with his shoulders and hips in a straight line facing you. His lower arm can be tucked underneath your arm.

·    Football Hold or Clutch Position
The football position is another popular way to nurse baby, especially if you’ve had a Caesarean, or if you’re feeding a preemie or twins. Place Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow around your waist and sit tall in a chair or sofa. Baby’s head and back are supported along the side of the Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow as you help guide his legs behind you. Your opposite hand can support the breast if needed. The football hold or clutch position places the baby alongside the mother in a semi-sitting position. This position is ideal for small, premature babies or women with large breasts as well as women who have had a Cesarean and don't want to place their baby on their abdomen. For the football position, the Cuddoozle feeding pillow can easily be rotated so the main cushion is to your side, next to the breast you will be feeding from first. Place your baby on the pillow, tucking him under your arm and supporting his head and shoulders. Your baby should be facing your breast with his nose in front of your nipple.

·    Side-Lying Position
In this position you can nurse baby while you rest in bed. Use the Cuddoozle Nursing Pillow to support your shoulders and neck, then cradle baby into your side, pulling his belly close to yours. You may need a lactation consultant to show you the proper way to nurse in this position, until you become comfortable.
